Silver Palace sets a worldwide December 14 launch on PS5, PC and mobile

Elementa's free-to-play detective RPG Silver Palace lands on PS5, PC, iOS and Android on December 14, with pre-registration open, one day apart in the two reports that covered it.

THE SHORT VERSION

  • Elementa and Silver Studio will launch the free-to-play open-world RPG Silver Palace on December 14 for PS5, PC, iOS and Android, with global pre-registration open.
  • Gematsu and Automaton agree on the date and the four platforms, but Automaton's closing line gives December 15, and the two outlets credit different companies for development.
  • The pre-registration ladder published by Gematsu runs to 35 million followers, with a four-star character at the 30 million step.

The date and the four platforms

Silver Palace will launch worldwide on December 14, publisher Elementa and developer Silver Studio announced, according to Gematsu. The free-to-play open-world action adventure RPG is coming to PlayStation 5, PC through a client download and the Epic Games Store, iOS through the App Store and Android through Google Play. Global pre-registration opened alongside the announcement. Gematsu's story carries a 31 October 2026 timestamp and credits the report to Sal Romano.

Automaton reported the same date, describing a simultaneous worldwide release on December 14, 2026 for PC, PS5, iOS and Android as a free-to-play title, with pre-registrations open through the official website. Its story also carries a 31 October 2026 timestamp, filed by Amber V. Neither report describes a staggered regional rollout, a console exclusivity window or a separate launch date for any single storefront, and neither outlet says it saw the game running. Gematsu files the game under PC, PS5 and smartphone, and Automaton carries the story in its global news section.

Where the two reports part

The two reports agree on the date and disagree in a single line. Automaton's article opens by saying the game will release simultaneously worldwide on December 14, 2026, then closes with a line stating that Silver Palace is scheduled to launch on December 15, 2026 for the same four platforms. The body of the same article gives December 14, and Gematsu gives December 14, so the closing line reads as a slip rather than a change of plan. Neither outlet has appended a correction.

The outlets also split on who is making the game. Gematsu credits Elementa as publisher and Silver Studio as developer, while Automaton credits Elementa as the developer that announced the date. Gematsu's company links list Happy Elements, Silver Studio and Elementa as three separate profiles. Neither report explains how the three names relate, and neither describes the size of the team or the length of development.

Silvernia, Silverium and the cases

Automaton describes Silvernia, the game's setting, as a Victorian-era-inspired city built on rapid industrialisation powered by a newly discovered material called Silverium. Beneath the city's facade, the report says, sit intertwined conspiracies, and the detective's cases run against corporate monopolies and underground syndicates that want control of the material. That is the frame the outlet uses for the plot, and it is the only description of the conflict in either report.

Gematsu's overview, supplied by Elementa, frames the same city as a place of wonders and deception where players investigate cases, forge bonds with companions and write a story beyond detective work, whether as a rising property magnate or a familiar face at a cafe. It sums up the loop in one line: every encounter is a choice to mingle, to investigate, to judge, or to fight. Both descriptions are marketing copy rather than hands-on reporting. Neither report says how the cases are structured across the map, how much of the plot is voiced, or whether the city is one continuous space.

Party switching, parries and a Casual Mode

Combat is real-time and party-based. Automaton reports that players switch between party members mid-fight to fire skills, chain quick-time combos and parry incoming attacks, and that each character carries assigned attack attributes and roles so that different combinations produce different synergies. The same report notes a Casual Mode that automates combos and skill activation for players who want the story without the execution. No frame rate, resolution or platform-specific performance figure appears in either article.

Exploration is urban and open rather than room by room. Automaton says gameplay revolves around open-world exploration and action battles, and Gematsu's overview describes a city to move through between cases. Neither report gives the size of the map, the number of playable characters, the length of the campaign or how the free-to-play model is funded beyond the label itself, and neither says whether the four platforms share progress. Casual Mode is the only difficulty or accessibility option named in either article, and neither says whether it can be switched on mid-fight.

What pre-registration unlocks

Pre-registration is live, and Gematsu published the milestone ladder supplied by the publisher. At 15 million followers players receive 80,000 units of an item called Ounce; at 20 million, ten copies of The Science of All Things: Volume III; at 25 million, five Simulation Shots; at 30 million, a new four-star character; and at 35 million, ten more Simulation Shots. The announcement text also mentions 20 Simulation Shots in its opening summary, which does not match any single step on the ladder.

Gematsu ties those steps to the total number of followers across the game's official global social media channels as well as to pre-registration, with rewards unlocked as each target is reached. The published list stops at 35 million, and neither report says what happens above that figure, how the follower count is verified or when the rewards are handed out. No regional split is given for the ladder either.

The details left open

Several details a player would want are missing from both reports. There is no file size, no minimum specification for the PC client, no word on cross-progression between the four platforms and no mention of a Switch or Switch 2 version. Automaton notes that the date follows several beta tests and offline hands-on events but gives no dates for those tests, and says information on pre-launch campaigns will come through the official website and the game's X account, with a community Discord server already open.

The December window is also crowded, and the site has covered what happens around it. Queen's Domain reached PS5 at 15.99 pounds on 30 October, Soulframe opens to everyone on 6 November as a free-to-play title, and Phantom Blade Zero showed what a Steam launch week looks like for a smaller action game. Dates move as well: The Duskbloods slipped from 2026 into 2027 after its network test, and nothing in either Silver Palace report suggests the December window is locked beyond the publisher's word.
