PS Plus November brings Dead Island 2 and a remastered Tomb Raider trilogy

Sony's three monthly games arrive on November 3 and are offered through November 30: a zombie co-op game, a trilogy with a graphics switch, and an indie deckbuilder.

THE SHORT VERSION

  • Sony's PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for November 2026 are Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2, offered from Tuesday November 3 to Monday November 30.
  • Dead Island 2 is Dambuster Studios' first-person zombie game with three-player online co-op. The Tomb Raider collection bundles The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness and lets players switch between original and remastered graphics.
  • Monster Train 2 is the only indie title in the lineup, a deckbuilding roguelite with five new clans. October's games, F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, can still be claimed until November 2.

Three games, one claim window

Sony's PlayStation.Blog post names the November lineup as Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered and Monster Train 2. The post is credited to a Senior Director of Content Acquisition and Operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment, and it gives one date range for all three: available to play from Tuesday November 3 to Monday November 30.

That range is the offer window, and it is the part worth putting in a calendar if you intend to add the games rather than play them immediately. The post does not list download sizes, performance modes, a specific unlock time on November 3, or any extra content bundled with the games. It also does not describe a price, because the games are part of the subscription rather than a separate purchase. Before November 3, the store listing is the place to confirm file size and whether the games appear for your membership, since the announcement stays at the level of titles and dates.

Dead Island 2 is the headliner

Dead Island 2 comes from Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver, and Sony's description is deliberately pulpy: Los Angeles reimagined as HELL-A, a population mutated into zombies, an "extensive, visceral RPG experience" with quests, eccentric survivors and brutal melee combat. The official text leans on weapon variety and the pleasure of slicing through a horde before it does the same to you. Eurogamer calls it "perhaps the biggest game on offer" and a decent way to keep the Halloween mood going.

The co-op detail is the practical one. Sony says you can explore alone or play online three-player co-op, which changes how the game fits a group. Neither source says anything about how the game runs on a base PS5 versus a PS5 Pro, whether the expansions are included, or how long the campaign takes. Those are the questions to check in the store listing rather than assume from the announcement.

A trilogy with a graphics switch

Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered collects the Darkness Trilogy: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness. Sony's post makes the toggle explicit, saying you can play with the original polygonal models or swap to remastered graphics at any time. For anyone who played these on original hardware, that option is the reason the package is interesting rather than a straight port.

Eurogamer is more measured about the games themselves. It notes the trilogy is "not known as being exactly the best Lara Croft games out there" while crediting Aspyr with polishing them for modern platforms, and it frames the set as a sizable time sink for the month. Neither source mentions trophy changes, save transfer or whether the collection includes the same extras as the standalone release.

The indie pick is a deckbuilder on rails

Monster Train 2 is the smallest name in the lineup and the only indie release, as Eurogamer points out. Sony describes it as a single-player deckbuilding roguelite in which you command clans formed from an alliance of former angels and demons, fighting Titans who have seized control of Heaven. The official notes list five new clans, three vertical levels to defend, unit recruitment and card upgrades.

The appeal is run length rather than spectacle. A deckbuilder fits a month in which the other two games ask for long sessions, and Eurogamer suggests it is worth a try for players who still want more roguelikes. Its aside about a "smug looking mushroom fella" is the closest either source comes to describing the tone, so expect the official description to be the better guide to mechanics than to humour.

Check the tier wording, and mind the October clock

There is one discrepancy worth knowing about. Sony's post calls these PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and does not name a membership tier. Eurogamer's headline says the same, but its opening paragraph describes the games as coming to "PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra." Monthly games have historically been the base offer rather than a Premium or Extra perk, so if your membership is Essential, the console store is a better check than either article. This is a wording problem in the coverage, not a claim that the games are restricted.

The other deadline is October's. Sony says members have until Monday November 2 to add F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 to their library. If any of those three were on your list, the November announcement is the reminder that the window is closing, and the two sets do not overlap beyond a single day. If two of the three October games were on your list, claim them before the November lineup takes their place in the store. The October PlayStation Plus catalog lists what is leaving, and Game Pass's October wave is the comparable move on the other subscription.

What to add first if the month is short

The three games ask for different amounts of time. Dead Island 2 is the long one, a campaign built around exploration and combat, and it is the easiest to leave half finished. The Tomb Raider set is three separate adventures, so it can be played in chunks if you treat each as its own game. Monster Train 2 is the one that fits short sessions, which makes it the least risky addition for a busy month. A rough rule: pick the one you would actually finish, not the one with the best reputation, because an unplayed claimed game costs the same as one you never wanted.

Two checks before November 3: confirm the games appear for your tier in the console store, and decide whether you are adding them to the library or planning to play them inside the window. Sony's post describes the offer period and does not restate what happens to library entries after November 30, so treat the subscription terms as the authority. Adding a game costs nothing extra, and skipping the window is the only irreversible choice in this announcement. The month's separate purchase is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is not part of the monthly offer.
